Alberto Valdez is a celebrated wedding designer, florist, event stylist, and entrepreneur, best known as the owner of The Garden Ballroom wedding venue in Fort Lauderdale. With over a decade of expertise in luxury weddings, he has become a trusted name for couples seeking sophistication, beauty, and unforgettable experiences.
Alberto’s journey into the wedding industry began uniquely — as a choreographer for quinceañeras and Sweet 16s. Working closely with families during life’s most cherished celebrations, he discovered his passion for design, coordination, and storytelling through events. That passion led him to wedding planning, where he has now built a thriving career spanning more than 10 years.
Formerly the lead designer for the renowned Crystal Ballroom franchise, Alberto developed his craft at the highest level of event production. His artistry and leadership were recognized with multiple awards, including Best Venue, Top Venue, and Top in Sales. Drawing on this success, he established his own venue, The Garden Ballroom, a luxury wedding destination where elegance and romance come together.
Certified as both a wedding planner and day-of coordinator, Alberto brings a comprehensive approach to every event. His services include floral design, floor plan coordination, mood boards, detailed timelines, and full concierge-style support for brides and grooms. Every detail — from the first toast to the final dance — is executed with precision and care, ensuring that each couple’s vision is brought to life flawlessly.
A proud Cuban American born and raised in Miami, Alberto comes from humble beginnings. Raised by hardworking parents and his grandmother, and inspired by his grandmother’s resilience as a leading and caring adult he learned early on the value of dedication and perseverance. Every step of his career has been built through determination, creativity, and what he calls “blood, sweat, and tears.” Today, Alberto lives the dream he once envisioned: to be a wedding planner who creates beauty, joy, and memories that last a lifetime.
His signature philosophy reflects his dedication: “My services may be copied, but never duplicated.” Because what I provide is an experience.
